Posted June 3, 2010 - I would be happy to recommend Christina Powers with Powers Pediatric Dentistry in Southern Pines. She is a Pedodontist and is absolutely incredible. She is sooo great with kids. I took my daughter for a couple of years to Chapel Hill Pediatric Dentistry and they do not let you go back with your child for procedures. After the second procedure, my daughter had nightmares about going there and begged me to find someone else so we found a pedodontist that will allow you to be with them during their procedures. She was actually recommended to me by one of her fellow classmates from dental school who goes to my church. We have been going there for 6 months now and I wish I had known about her before. The difference has been night and day. My daughter loved going there after the first visit and has several procedures done all with me present and she has never cried. The reason for her procedures, she fell and broke several teeth as a toddler so a lot of it was repair and replacing. Along with several cavities filled at the new dentist.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Powers and her staff. I wish every town had pediatric dentists like her. Just warn parents that their children aren't going to want to leave because her office is like a funhouse!
